About the book

The manual describes how to use rubrics in higher education, especially in health sciences education. The book provides a conceptual framework, practices and a series of checklists. Lecturers can use the checklists to design rubrics for a different situations and content. The book highlights various perspectives, from teachers, students, and educational advisors, to curriculum managers, while providing practical tips to develop and use rubrics.

Within WUR, Rubrics are increasling used to evaluate assignments and tasks. They can help to facilitate student learning. Rubrics describe desired student achievement at different levels. You can use rubrics to grade students and to provide feedback.
