Research data management resources available in Zenodo
Are you looking for help with research data management (RDM)? Now, you can find various RDM support resources, such as quick guides and templates for data management plans, on Zenodo.
WUR RDM support Zenodo community
The Library's RDM support team has developed various materials for WUR researchers, data stewards, and students. These resources can help you with writing a data management plan or preparing data packages for publishing, and provide an overview of key considerations for good research data management. The materials are updated frequently to reflect the latest WUR policies and RDM requirements. At the RDM support Zenodo community you can find:
- the WUR templates for data and software management plans;
- a manual on how to get started in DMPonline;
- the WUR data sharing guidelines;
- a curation checklist for data packages in Yoda@WUR;
- the WUR Research Data Management course materials;
- an onboarding sheet for new data stewards.
Free re-use & sharing
Zenodo is a free platform for sharing research outputs of all kinds (datasets, publications, presentations, software, etc.). The RDM support materials are licensed under CC BY, allowing free reuse and sharing with proper attribution. You can share these guides with external researchers and cite them via their DOI. Note that as we update our guides with new information, different versions will be published with their own DOIs. When sharing one of these resources, please make sure to use the DOI that cites all versions, which will auto direct to the latest version of each resource.
RDM support team
The Library's RDM support team is a strong advocate of the FAIR data principles and open science. The team supports WUR researchers and students with making their data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable, and open when possible. The team also provides practical support and training on research data management.
The field of research data management is developing quickly, and by providing these quick guides and templates, we can streamline the most important information directly to end users to facilitate good RDM practices. Our central hub for RDM documents in Zenodo ensures that you are up to date with the latest version of all our resources and provides a formal route for sharing this important information within and outside WUR.
