Plus Ultra, building number D

Plus Ultra was completed in late 2015, as breeding ground and business complex for budding and flourishing knowledge-intensive companies and institutions in the agricultural and food industry. Everyone in the building shares knowledge and collaborates on new developments. Plus Ultra houses laboratories, cleanrooms, air conditioned rooms, multifunctional research spaces, techno-halls, conference rooms, presentation spaces, and offices. An incubator function will also be realised, in which support, innovation, and development will be the focus points.

Plus Ultra was designed by architectural firm ‘Wiegerinck architectuur stedenbouw’, led by Roy Pype, Bert Muijres and Tim Loeters. The
building’s installations have been planned in accordance with BIM. Additionally, Plus Ultra has the BREEAM Excellent certificate. ‘Plus Ultra’ symbolises the drive for innovations. The spatial design of the building focuses on the core values synergy, meeting, collaboration and an open innovation between the various companies. Openness, transparency and visibility are key.

Kadans Science Partner had a virtual tour of Plus Ultra made. Using Google Maps Streetview, it is now possible to get an impression of the building and walk around the atrium, take the stairs, and have a look in the conference rooms.
