Leniger Prize 2016 – Winners attend the World Congress of Food Science and Technology in Dublin
Anja Schrőder and Frank van der Veer both won the 2016 Leniger Prize and were rewarded with the opportunity to attend the IUFoST - World Congress of Food Science and Technology 2016 in Dublin. Below a brief report of their experiences. Last year they were selected by the couple Bruin-Kühn, the founders of the Leniger Bruin Kühn Fund, to present their MSc thesis as a poster on the IUFoST - World Congress of Food Science and Technology.
The Leniger Bruin Kühn fund promotes excellent education and innovative research in food technology and food safety at Wageningen UR and was founded in 2008. Besides the Leniger Prize, the fund supports sabbaticals for postgraduate researchers and (associate) professors from Latin America in food technology or food safety. The fund also contributes to a Colloquium Series, especially for people from outside the ‘food world’ as a source of inspiration for food technology.
