In the year marking its 100th anniversary, Wageningen University & Research has once again topped the table as the world’s best agricultural university in the 2018 QS ranking. As in previous years, WUR secured first place in the ‘Agriculture & Forestry’ category. Wageningen is currently 124th in the QS World University Rankings.

Every year, QS publishes two rankings: a general ranking and one based on five broad-based themes. Wageningen is active in three of these five areas: Life Sciences & Medicine, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences & Management. Agriculture & Forestry is one of 48 separate categories within the broad-based themes. The QS ranking rates 1,130 academic institutions from all around the world.

The other categories in which WUR provides teaching and research show differing results. For example, Wageningen’s scores for Biological Science, Veterinary Science and Life Sciences & Medicine have improved this year. On the other hand, Wageningen has dropped down the rankings for Social Sciences & Management, and in the Environmental Science category.

All Wageningen rankings are shown on the QS website. There is also a QS world ranking.
