On June 16 and 17 we celebrated 100 years WUR in the city with a sparkling festival to celebrate the special bond between the city of Wageningen and the University. In the organising committee WUR joined forces with local residents, entrepreneurs and student associations.

On Saturday we started with coffee and cake and heart warming speeches of major Geer van Rumund and Louise Fresco. Then children decorated the city with a colourful flag line. There were musical facade concerts, and a – sing along - outdoor screening of Mamma Mia, the Movie which was attended by nearly 1000 people at the market. On Sunday the Global Village Market turned into a multicultural dance party after which Wageningen University offered the poem ‘reflectie’ to the city. We ended the weekend with a sociable potluck BBQ for students and residents.
