This one day course on data management planning is offered by Wageningen Graduate Schools and organised by Wageningen UR Library.

Venue: Forum, Room C106
Time: 9 am - 5 pm

The course starts with a series of background lectures and concentrates on data collection and statistics, information analysis and database design, and legal aspects.
The second part of the day focuses on a more practical level with lectures and discussions on how to organize one’s own research data and how to document the research process. Eventually the template for a data management plan is discussed.

After this one day course participants are invited to compose their data management plan in the month after the event. These plans will be reviewed in small groups to benefit from the comments of fellow participants and a teacher. Depending of the size of the group the discussion takes between one and two hours.

Completion of the course will be awarded with 0.4 ECTS by Wageningen Graduate Schools.

Target group: PhD’s and PostDocs  who have completed the orientation phase of their research project  and are planning to do their observations.
