From 29 May to 1 June 2019 the biannual SIETAR Europa Congress took place in Leuven, Belgium. SIETAR stands for Society for Intercultural Education, Training And Research and is Europe’s largest association of interculturalists and is part of the worldwide SIETAR network. The congress is both a platform for the exchange of experiences and know-how as well as a unique networking opportunity.

Dine Brinkman presented the outcomes of the study on the challenges of multicultural group work, based on 281 reflective journals of students of Wageningen University over the years 2009-2016. The study itself was an example of multicultural team work with Karen Fortuin, Dine Brinkman and Rico Lie from WUR in the Netherlands and Vitaliy Popov from San Diego University in the United States.
