ENP welcomes PhD candidate Jiaqi Zhang

Jiaqi is a new sandwich PhD candidate at the Environmental Policy Group. After gaining her Environmental Engineering master degree from North China Electric Power University, P.R. China, she worked as a research assistant at Tsinghua University for four years. In Tsinghua University, she worked on the strategic environmental assessment (SEA) of urban agglomerations, which aims to provide bases to efficient and effective decision-making. In addition, based on the SEA report, she participated in drafting two documents for the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of P.R. China. From September 2018, Jiaqi became a PhD candidate of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science (CAAS)-Wageningen University PhD programme. Her research focuses on sociologically analysing the impact of policies on biomass energy and greenhouse gas reductions in China.
