ENP welcomes visiting researchers Jingjing Yuan and Guizhen He from China

Jingjing Yuan starts her Exchange Programme as a visiting PhD at the Environmental Policy Group in August 2016, based on a KNAW-CAS joint project “Reflexive environmental risk governance of coastal urban centres in China: the role of e-citizen participation”.

She is now doing her PhD programme in Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, CAS. Her major is Environmental Economy and Environmental Management, and the thesis topic is about the impacts of urbanization on coastal ecosystem in Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea.

She completed her master degree in Physical Geography from Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, CAS.

Dr. Guizhen He is Associate Professor of Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, CAS. Her research focuses on environmental risk management, environmental law, energy governance, public environmental participation and policy analysis in China. She has published more than 40 papers and books in the above fields in international and domestic peer reviewed journals. She has attended in the international and domestic projects of  Role of e-participation in environmental risk governance of coastal urban China, Renewable Energy Governance in China and the EU, Energy and Environmental Policy in the Context of Globalization, Environmental Risk Management and Emergency Response in China, Innovative Methodology for Governmental Environmental Audit in China, Environmental carrying capacity around the Bohai Area in China, and Capacity Building Plan for Science and Technology Development in China.
