Ecological Rationality gains weight
The ecological domain has grown out of the economic domain, says Arthur Mol, Professor in Environmental Policy at Wageningen university.
In his lecture on the Theory of Ecological modernization at the seminar “Environment, Society and Sociology”, University of Nordland, in Northern Norway, Mol explained how the ecological domain in developed societies has changed and strengthened its theoretical and practical basis.
For the last thirty years, EM has departed from previous ideological positions and emerged as a policy into new markets, new governance, new NGO and new socio-techniques, says Arthur Mol, who also works as a Professor in Singapore and Tokyo.
