EndNote 20
You can now download EndNote 20 from the software centre. EndNote 20 is the latest version and includes a few new handy features.
What is new with EndNote 20?
The most striking change is the redesigned interface. The interface has been improved to clearly display the information that is important to you and to help you easily navigate through your library. Duplicate detection and the PDF viewer and annotation tool have also been improved. Compare the different versions of EndNote here.
Should I upgrade EndNote or should I install the new version of EndNote?
You can access the EndNote 20 version through the software centre and the WUR app store. Version X9 will be available until the start of the academic year. You decide if you want to upgrade now or if you want to wait until more WUR-specific training material becomes available.
Before upgrading, make sure you back up your current EndNote library. Once upgraded, you cannot downgrade your EndNote library, and you will need your backup if you wish to go back to EndNote X9 or if something goes wrong during the upgrade process.
When will the instruction manual be available?
We've already created an instruction sheet for upgrading from EndNote X9 to EndNote 20. We are currently updating our reference manual and other educational material to have them ready at the beginning of the new academic year.
