Excellent teaching award

Dr. Aarti Gupta (Environmental Policy Group) received an excellent teaching award for her coordinator role in the course 'Advanced International Environmental Politics and Diplomacy' which she co-teaches with Prof. dr. Bas Arts and PhD researcher Tabitha Muriuki of the Forest & Nature Conservation Policy Group.

Noting that winning an excellent teaching award is no mean feat, the Rector Magnificus observed that the recognition is even more extraordinary given that the course is new, and won in the second
year of being offered. Out of the 30 courses awarded, the course was placed in position 7, making it the 7th best course of all the 700 courses at WUR! The course was specially developed with the aim of equipping students with the necessary knowledge of International Relations including theoretical perspectives and empirical examples and is offered in the second part of period six.
