For NWO grant applications a data management paragraph becomes mandatory
In 2015 NWO has done a data management pilot that it considers as successful for a number of calls. A data management paragraph will become mandatory for each grant application from October 2016 onwards.
For each proposal four short questions to clarify what data will be generated, how it will be stored in a sustainable way and how it will be made accessible. It is not one of the criteria against which proposals will be evaluated, but successful applicants will be requested to develop a full data management plan and maintain it during the project's life cycle. Data management costs are eligible for funding. More information can be found here.
