IPCC: Climate Change 2014: Impacts, Adaptation, and Vulnerability
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) is a scientific body under the auspices of the United Nations (UN). It reviews and assesses the most recent scientific, technical and socio-economic information produced worldwide relevant to the understanding of climate change.
Fifth Assessment Report (AR5)
Scientists and policy makers from 115 countries formally established the second part of the fifth IPCC assessment report, in Yokohama. This second part looks at the effects of climate change and options for adaptation. The results of the fifth report do not differ much from the results of the fourth report, but the foundation has become stronger and more relevant details are available.
IPCC Working Group II Contribution to AR5
The 10th Session of Working Group II (WGII-10) was held from 25 to 29 March 2014 in Yokohama, Japan. At the Session, the Summary for Policymakers (SPM) of the Working Group II contribution to the IPCC Fifth Assessment Report (WGII AR5) was approved and the underlying scientific and technical assessment accepted.
