Would you like to publish Open Access at reduced cost or for free? In the WUR Journal Browser, you can easily search over 36,000 journals to find the appropriate journal for your article. You can find out which journals have a discount, information about impact metrics and how many WUR articles were published or cited in a journal.

Dutch government policy

The Dutch government requires all universities to publish 100% Open Access in the near future, and more and more funders, like NWO and the EU, are setting Open Access publishing as a funding condition. As such, WUR has implemented an Open Access policy that states that research output, whenever possible, is freely available through one of the Open Access routes. The percentage of WUR articles that are published Open Access is growing annually – in 2019 it increased to 60%.

WUR Journal Browser

The WUR Journal Browser helps you to meet the Open Access requirements of the government and funders. The WUR Journal Browser offers an easy overview of your options. The browser currently contains over 36,000 journals, both Open Access and subscription. You can search for a journal title and sort the outcomes by, for example, impact factor or how many times WUR researchers cite and publish in a journal. You can also look for similar journals to publish in or find out about your options to make your non-OA publications openly accessible in Research@WUR ("green open access").
