Since 2015 BNT is organising a minor in BioNanoTechnology. Since two years, BNT take also part in a pilot course (Integrated BNT) which is an “overarching” 1 credit course.

The main idea of the overarching course is to use the knowledge acquired during the whole minor for application in research. This course span over the course of three periods, the duration of the whole minor. Thanks to the long duration of the course, we decided to set up long time experiments, which are impossible to set up in normal 1 period courses.

The general idea of this course was to check and study the possibility of using plants to synthesise nanoparticles.

The three groups which follow this course designed the research, perform the experiments and presented the results in a final report.

As a pilot in a pilot we decided to stimulate the students not only in present the results in a scientific way (presentation and report), but also to produce another output of the research, more oriented in a general public outreach.

Therefore the students produced a video outreach of their respective researches, pointing on explaining the research in a creative, fast and impactful way.
