Kick-off meeting of NWO-Wotro project in Divo (Ivory Coast)

The kick- off meeting of the NWO-Wotro project “Cocoa crop improvement, farms and markets: a science-based approach to sustainably improving farmer food security in Ghana and Ivory Coast” was held in Divo (Ivory Coast) from the 15th to the 18th of June 2017 among all partners involved: three groups of Wageningen University & Research (PPS, CSA, KTI), CNRA (Ivory Coast), IITA (Ghana), ESA-INPHB (Ivory Coast), Mondelez (UK).

Prior the meeting in Divo the project was officially presented to the Conseil du Café Cacao in Abidjan, with the presence of the Dutch embassy in Ivory Coast.

The participants took also part in two field visits, to the Barry Callebout-Mondelez experimental farm in Tiassalé and to the CNRA research station in Divo.
