MSc lecture series starting March 16. Each week, the major habitats will be addressed as connected to the various phytogeographical regions of the Netherlands: Hilly landscapes, Pleistocene landscapes, Riverine landscapes, Coastal landscapes, Peatland landscapes, Estuarine landscapes and Urban landscapes. In the first lecture, the ‘biome of the week’ will be discussed in terms of natural and cultural history, environmental conditions, its plant diversity and the major challenges to protect or restore it. In the second lecture, a young scientist (PhD, Staff member) will speak about the research he or she is carrying out in such landscape, in the Netherlands or abroad. See the picture for the full programme. Please contact Joop Schaminee for more information.
