Meet our visiting PhD researcher Michele Dalla Fontana

Michele is a PhD student in Regional Planning and Public Policies at the IUAV University of Venice (Italy). He holds a bachelor degree in Geography from the University of Padua (Italy) and a Master Degree in “Planning and policies for the City, Environment and Landscape” from the IUAV University of Venice and University of Girona (Spain).

Before starting his PhD, he spent six months in Barcelona funded by Leonardo Program working for the “Observatorio de la Urbanización”. Main research interests are in climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies and more recently in the “Water-Energy-Food nexus” approach in urban areas with objectives ranging from urban sustainability, resilience, efficient resources management, to resource security. He will join ENP as visiting PhD student for three months working on the Urban Nexus with a particular focus on the city of Amsterdam.
