In the coming months rare plaster models of fruits and vegetables are on display on the 3rd floor in Forum Library. The plaster models come from the chair group Human Nutrition and Health. The models were fabricated in the 1940s and 1950s and were used in teaching from 1946-1960.

On show are plaster models of vegetables such as eggplant, radish, green beans and white cabbage. You can also see old apple and pear varieties e.g. Schone van Boskoop and Beurre Alexander Lucas.

The plaster models are part of the academic heritage of Wageningen University and Research. The 42 pieces (29 varieties of fruits and vegetables in total) were restored in 2017 by Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg (SRAL).

The Special Collections Department of WUR Library holds several more collections that were made or used either in education or during research practices at Wageningen University & Research.
