Problems searching in EBSCOhost: add the site to 'trusted sites' when using Internet Explorer

When you search the databases on the EBSCOhost platform with Internet Explorer you may have access problems. To solve this, add the site 'EBSCOhost' to your 'trusted sites' list.

To add a site to 'trusted sites':

a. Go to the EBSCOhost page in Internet Explorer

b. Click the Tools button, and then click Internet options
c. Click the Security tab
d. Now click on Trusted sites and then click on the Sites button
e. The EBSCOhost url is already in this box. Click on 'Add'

f. "Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone" must be switched off

g. When you are finished, click on Close.

This problem occurs only in Internet Explorer. Google Chrome and Firefox operate properly.

The following databases are affected by this problem: Avery Index, Cab Abstracts, EconLit, ERIC, GreenFile, Medline, Philosopher's Index, PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES and SocINDEX.
