Root-knot nematode infection is a major issue in agriculture. There are some resistant cultivars available but the resistance is already broken, therefore there is a need for a new strategy to cope with root-knot nematode infections.

In this article we investigate the genetic natural variation present in Arabidopsis thaliana against the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita. Here we identify two genes linked to the reproductive success of M. incognita on Arabidopsis namely, Brassinazole-resistant1 and an F-box family protein. Both genes co-regulate reproductive success of M. incognita on Arabidopsis
