The unbearable slowness of integrating climate change adaptation into existing policy domains

We are proud to announce that our colleague, Dr Robbert Biesbroek, has been awarded a prestigious and highly competitive Personal Research Grant VENI, by the Dutch Research Council’s NWO Talent Scheme. Over the next three years, Robbert will study how countries across the globe integrate climate change adaptation considerations into existing policy sectors. We look forward learning more about this exciting project!

The research project is entitled 'The unbearable slowness of integrating climate change adaptation into existing policy domains'

This is short summary of the project: Timely adaptation to climate change impacts requires integration of adaptation in existing policy domains. This comparative research analyses if and how institutional characteristics and political processes influence the depth, scope and pace of integration. The research offers new insights for strategic interventions to accelerate, deepen and upscale policy integration processes.
