Tamara Horbachevska joins the Law Group as PhD student per October 15

Tamara Horbachevska is a PhD student at the Department of Theory and Philosophy of Law at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University and a fellow of the Sandwich PhD program at Wageningen University & Research, the Netherlands. Her dissertation focuses on the measures that can be taken by business actors to protect human rights in states that have been influenced by Soviet ideology in the past. She worked as a lawyer in the Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group (2019-2021), where she provided the advocacy for victims of human rights violations during the armed conflict in Eastern Ukraine. She has represented more than 20 individual applications before the European Court of Human Rights, 2 of which have already been ruled in favor of the applicants (Biryukov v. Ukraine and Svirgunets v. Ukraine). She works in joint projects with Center for Rule of Law and Religion Studies and the International Lab on Business and Human Rights at the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University.
