This app shows the city climate and gives the user options and ideas to do something about the heat and wind in their backyard or more on street- and block-level.

Wageningen University (WUR) generated this app as a AMS-stimulus-projects and fonds from Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS) and the WUR. Sanda Lenzholzer, as landscape architect, gathered all the possible options how the city climate can be adjusted. Together with Gert-Jan Steeneveld and Natalie Theeuwes from Meteorology, they generated the basic map of Amsterdam with the city-climate. Gert Sterenborg programmed the app and Claire Oude Aarninkhof (former LAR student) conceptualised the whole project.
