Video 'Pumpkin fries' winner of MBO Food Waste Challenge
In the MBO Food Waste Challenge 50 student teams worked on waste issues of companies and social organizations. The student teams had to create a pitch on video for a food waste problem. The winner was the Terra MBO with the video 'Pumpkin fries'.
The MBO Food Waste Challenge
The MBO student teams had to work on a solution for one of the food waste problems. Each team created a pitch on film accompanied by a brief written explanation. The student teams were supported by a step-by-step plan for implementing ideas. This plan is called the "Doon Innovation Method" and is available in a Groen Kennisnet wiki. The teams started in September 2019 and the winner was announced on Thursday 30 January 2020.

The MBO Food Waste Challenge was supported by Groen Kennisnet. Groen Kennisnet provided an educational program with instruction materials for teachers and background information about food waste in a dossier on the Groen Kennisnet website.
The Challenge was also supported by Jong Leren Eten, Leren voor morgen, Katapult, DOON, Stichting Samen tegen Voedselverspilling, Provincie Noord-Holland, Clusius College, NH food, Topsector Agri & Food, de Verspillingsfabriek en Rabobank.
