WASS course Economic Regulation

Published on
March 1, 2018

In the course Economic Regulation, participants will study in-depth economic and legal origins of regulations, the applications of liability law under different jurisdictions, major regulatory approaches used at national (civil and common law countries) and international level (EU, WTO, Bio-Safety) and implications those have for economic development at different scale. You will also be familiarized with the tools used in the field.

The major activities include reading assignments of selected papers and discussions of those. One case will be discussed in detail, that should allow you to transfer the knowledge for your own studies. Participants will also be required to write a course paper. Ideally, this should be related to own research and can be a first step for writing a paper.
