The International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center CIMMYT launched a new project. The project is one of the CGIAR/CCAFS Flagship Projects on Climate Smart Agriculture. The project focusses on up and out scaling of local Climate Smart Agricultural practices in India, Bangladesh and Nepal. It aims to generate an enabling environment for incentives and institutes at sub-national scale. Alterra’s role will be to scan, develop, pilot and scale business cases for Climate Smart Agricultural practices for which we will establish innovation platforms at the local and meta-levels.
