Last summer the Library sold wood storage boxes to raise money for the charity Booksteps.

Booksteps is a project that buys books for schools and libraries in northern Uganda, an area that has been suffering from a violent civil war. By giving school children access to books, Booksteps wants to give them a better education and thus a better future.

Today, Petra Otten, the Head of Public Services of Wageningen UR Library, presented Joke Hijink from the Booksteps Project with a cheque for €545.75. We would like to thank everybody who donated to the Booksteps project.
