Wageningen student team successful in European competition on bio-materials

After winning the national competition, team Biosilence from Wageningen University finished as runners-up in the Bio–based Student Challenge Europe (BISCE) in Berlin in October. Costas Nikiforidis, Assistant professor at Biobased Chemistry and Technology, was involved in mentoring the students during the competition.

In their project, Biosilence developed sustainable soundproofing panels from manure to replace mineral wool.
