World Open Innovation Conference (WOIC).

Open Innovation is defined as the use of purposive inflows
and outflows of knowledge to accelerate internal innovation, and expand the markets for external use of innovation, respectively (Henry Chesbrough, 2003). Every year a community of academic experts and practitioners gather together to discuss the frontiers of Open Innovation in research and practice during World Open Innovation Conference (WOIC). Professor Henry Chesbrough – the father of Open Innovation – chairing this yearly conference. This year WOIC19 will be held in LUISS in Rome, Italy. 

From BMO, Dr. Maral Mahdad who is an assistant program chair
of the conference is organizing a paper development bootcamp for PhD students together with Prof. Henry Chesbrough, Dr. Ann Kristin Zobel and Dr. Mehdi Bagherzadeh. The boot camp will be held prior to WOIC19 in LUISS, Rome on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th December 2019 and it is designed to give an opportunity to PhD students who are in the last year of their PhD program to develop and/or significantly improve an existing paper of Open Innovation topics.
