An Evening with Darwin on 14 May

On Thursday evening, 14 May 2009, the Wageningen UR Library is organising "An Evening with Darwin". Wilbert Hetterscheid, scientific curator of the Wageningen UR Botanical Gardens, will tell about Darwin's trip with the Beagle. Wim Backhuys, publisher of Backhuys Publishers and teacher of the History of Biology, will then lecture on Darwin's theory of evolution. After the lectures, Liesbeth Missel, the library's curator, will take attendees to the Special Collection's reading room, in the Forum Library, to explain the exhibition "The Evolution of Darwin".
