Article in the magazine 'Nieuwe Oogst'
Following a meeting in Westerbork, Nieuwe Oogst features an article on the results of the Pallifit and Rostofit project. Through these projects, the laboratory of Nematology has contributed to understanding the origin of these outbreaks. Pallifit shows that there are resistance-breaking populations of Globodera pallida in Dutch fields. This outbreak is due to selection on existing populations, not a new introduction.
Na aanleiding van een bijeenkomst in Westerbork geeft Nieuwe Oogst aandacht aan de uitkomsten van het Pallifit en Rostofit project. Middels deze projecten heeft de vakgroup Nematologie bijgedragen aan het begrijpen van de oorsprong van deze uitbraken. Pallifit laat zien dat er sprake is van resistentie-doorbrekende populaties van Globodera pallida in Nederlandse akkers. Deze uitbraak komt door selectie op bestaande populaties, niet door een nieuwe introductie.
