Article of former ELS PhD candidate Tom Adams nominated for award
The editorial board of the Pedagogische Studien journal, the journal of the Netherlands Educational Research Association (VOR), has nominated an article of former Els PhD candidate Tom Adams for the ‘best article of 2024’ award of that journal.
During the Educational Research Days (ORD) in June 2025, it will become clear if the article has won the award or not. The nominated article is entitled The Effects Of An Intervention In Student Teachers’ Classroom Management Learning Processes (click link for the article). The article describes an intervention with teacher education students during their internship trajectory to enhance the development of their classroom management competence. The study showed that such an intervention can indeed help student teachers (and their supervisors) by providing more structure in the complex internship learning process.
