The next Business Science seminar takes place on the 19th of January. The Information Technology group hosts the event, titled: “Computational modeling of collective systems.” The event lasts from 16.00 to 17.00 and takes place at the Leeuwenborch in Wageningen.

Yara Khaluf's expertise in computational modelling and interest in the organisation of complex living systems merge in this presentation. Visitors of the seminar will learn more about how models of collective systems can lead to a promising future of hybrid societies.

In the seminar, Yara will first explain how computational models inspired by natural systems can be used to understand the dynamics of these systems better, and how artificial systems can be developed whose behaviour can be optimized using the inspiration from their natural counterparts. After this Yara will focus on computational modelling of decision making in human individuals and groups. During Yara's presentation there will be room to interact.
