Data Science Research
On the 17 September Vision & Robotics organised their annual Parcours. It was great to see all the demonstrations of autonomous robots, sensors, synthetic data, AI models, and more come together. This makes research truly tangible. It looks like WUR found its way into integrating data science and AI in research. For those interested in learning all about sensing technologies, a new course on ‘Novel Sensing Technologies and Chemometrics’ is planned. This course takes place on 30 September, 1 & 2 October this year. There are still some places. Please contact Dr. Puneet Mishra for all the details.
Upcoming events
- Join us on October 17th for the WUR Model and Data Day. This event is for all data, software, AI and model enthusiasts at WUR. Programme and registration available here. This day is organised not only for data and model experts; we also would like to welcome business unit managers and team leads.
- The annual Digital Innovation Expo will be held on 6 November 2024. Watch the after movie of last year to get some inspiration already and don't forget to put the date in your agenda.
On 22 October Biometris will show what their work is all about and how you can join forces with them. The event will take place in Impulse. For more information, please contact Ron Wehrens (Business Unit Manager Biometris).
As you all know the current Knowledge Base Programmes (KB) will end this year. This means the Data Driven & High Tech programme, hosted by the WDCC, will end too. The planning of new KB programmes is in full swing. The new framework of KB contains five programmes, and two cross cutting research areas of which AI & Modelling is one of them. Your General Director can inform you on the process and on the contents.
