Designing an optimal artifical reef
In his PhD, Alwin Hylkema is asking what type of artificial reef structure type is most effective in increasing fish density around Saba and St. Eustatius. NatureToday.com published an article on recent work of his that shows that artificial reefs with complex internal structure result in increased fish abundance, biomass and richness.
