On the 7th of October the Operations Research and Logistics group hosts a section seminar titled: “Designing healthy and sustainable diets using diet optimization models: an operations research perspective.”

Argyris Kanellopoulos and Joke van Lemmen will share with us how the ORL group is involved in developing a pathway to healthier and more sustainable diets. Such diets would fulfil nutritional requirements, reduce overall risk of diseases and can be produced with available resources. They will talk about the role of mathematical models in providing people with a better diet and they will provide examples of ongoing projects in this domain. Following the presentations there will be time to ask questions and discuss this challenge together.

There will also be lunch available for you if you visit the seminar at the Leeuwenborch room B0062. To avoid food waste, we would like to know who is joining for lunch and also if you are vegetarian/vegan. You can send an admittence to Jacco Leguijt by Tuesday October 4th to enlist for the seminar. The seminar lasts from 12.00 to 13.00.
