FAIR data fund: FAIR-ifying research data
This year, WUR researchers can apply for the 4TU FAIRData Fund. The fund offers financial aid to cover the costs of FAIR-ifying existing research data. The maximum award is €3,500.
FAIR principles
The FAIR principles aim to make research data findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable. Making data FAIR and openly available is key to open science. The FAIR principles are the cornerstone of research data management at WUR and FAIR data sets are required by many funders and publishers. However, making existing data sets FAIR can be time-consuming and costly.
FAIR Data Fund
This year, the call for the FAIR Data Fund will be open to all members of 4TU, including WUR. WU and WR researchers can apply for financial support up to a maximum of € 3,500 to cover the costs of making research data FAIR. This fund is for data that has already been created. It is not for creating new data.
Application process
All information on the application process can be found at 4TU Research Data. Please check the fund's requirements to see if you're eligible. The call for applications opens on 2 October and closes on 7 November 2023. As of 2 October, you can find further details, along with an application form, on the 4TU website.
