IUHPE Webinar with the editors highlighting the new developments - February 1st, 2022

In 2017, the IUHPE Global Working Group on Salutogenesis published the first Handbook of Salutogenesis. It has been well-received, being among the five most accessed Springer open access books.

As both Salutogenesis-based research and practice dynamically evolved over the last years, the 2nd edition of the Handbook with 57 chapters and 88 authors, provides a thorough update and expansion of this field.

In the foreword, Margaret Barry, President of IUHPE states: “This Handbook will be a valuable resource for all academic scholars and practitioners interested in understanding the origins of health and advancing the field of health promotion. This comprehensive Handbook provides a definitive guide to salutogenesis from its origins to the present day, addressing its core concepts, theory and methods and outlining its application to health promotion and related areas of study and practice.”

Join all the editors of the Handbook in a webinar highlighting the new developments in this 2nd Edition. We will engage you in a discussion about the relevance of Salutogenesis for tackling the large societal challenges from a salutogenesis perspective.

Save the date: the webinar will take place on February 1st, 2022, 17:00-18:30 CET, details will follow.

We are looking forward to meeting you at the webinar!
