Interview on high expectations in higher education
Which teacher made a difference for you? Why?
On April 30th, an interview on high expectations, and how we go about that at the research group of the Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences, was published on the online platform for connecting secondary education with higher education for the Rotterdam region. Together with lector Jarise Kaskens and interviewer Sigrid van Iersel we discussed that having high expectations as a teacher matters a lot. Thinking about the aforementioned questions can make you realize that you as a teacher can have a big influence on students. Awareness is important, because with a single smile or sentence a teacher can make a difference (for life).
