Marcel Zwietering chairman ICMSF
Marcel Zwietering has been elected as chairman of the International Commission on Microbiological Specifications for Foods (ICMSF). He succeeds Martin Cole, who performed this role for 20 years. Zwietering is professor Food Microbiology at Wageningen University & Research.
De The ICMSF is a global non-governmental organisation and observer to Codex Alimentarius. Its goal is to contribute actively to development and communication of scientific concepts, to help to reduce the incidence of microbiological foodborne illness and food spoilage.
