Nina Bohm defended her PhD Thesis
On November 13, Nina Bohm (TU Delft) defended her PhD thesis entitled ‘Educating uncertainty: how students and teachers deal with uncertainty in transdisciplinary courses on urban sustainability’.
In her thesis, Nina investigated how teachers and external commissioners construct complex problems for challenge based education, and subsequently what uncertainties students experience in education that deals with these challenges, how students cope with these uncertainties, and how teachers coach students in this respect. She investigated this in the context of the Ms Made programme, a joint programme of TU Delft and WUR, located in Amsterdam. The supervision tea consisted of first promotor Ellen van Bueren (TU Delft), second promotor Perry den Brok (WUR) and daily supervisor Renate Klaassen (TU Delft).
