Opening exhibition 'Golden Spike' in Forum Library

From February 14 until July 4 2014 Wageningen UR Library presents the exhibition ‘Golden Spike’ by Elsbeth Pluimers in the Forum Library.

Biologist/geologist Elsbeth Pluimers is inspired by nature and fascinated by the creation of the earth. This is shown in sculptures casted in bronze and ceramic works. ‘Golden Spike’ is a geological professional term. It marks the precise location of a boundary of a stage on the geologic time scale.

You can attend the opening of the exhibition (In Dutch) by palaeontologist dr. John de Vos on February 14, 3:00 pm in the Forum Library. The opening is followed by a presentation by Hermien Miltenburg, and a guided tour of the Forum building, the Library and Special Collections. There are drinks from 4.30 pm.

The exhibition can be visited on weekdays from 8.30 h until 22.00 h, and in weekends from 10.00 h until 20.00 h. If you want to visit the exhibition outside office hours, you can ring the doorbell at the main entrance of the Forum building.

Tours (in Dutch) by Elsbeth Pluimers will take place on March 2, April 6, May 4 and June 1 at 2:00 pm. You don’t have to register for these tours.
