WUR Library presented the project “Pilot Information Literacy Learning Trajectory in the BSc Forest and Nature Conservation” at the 2021 Teachers Day.

This year Teachers Day was organised online and we presented the pilot Information Literacy Learning Trajectory during one of the sessions. The goal of this pilot is to improve the teaching and learning of Information Literacy in the bachelor curriculum.

During the session we explained why we started the pilot, how we approached it and what we have done and learned so far. It is a three-year pilot and we have just started the second year, so the timing was perfect to share our experiences thus far.

The discussion afterwards mostly focused on our experiences with Edubadges. We used Edubadges to map student's progress, promote conscious learning and create awareness and visibility of information literacy. We also answered critical questions regarding on extending the pilot to other BSc programmes. The discussion also focussed on the relationship of this project to the WUR Skills Programme and our thoughts on open education and train the trainer sessions.

If you missed this session but would like to know more about it, you can find the slides and the session's recording on the MS Teams of the Teachers Day 2021. You can also find more information on the pilot and Edubadges on our website.
