Power partially restored again
Some buildings affected by a power cut this morning have power restored. The power supply to the remaining buildings still without electricity is currently being worked on. Experts are hopeful that this will succeed during the evening.
A fire broke out in a transformer house at Unifarm around 7.30 AM Wednesday morning and power failed in six research facilities and an office building at the university complex. There were no injuries.
The fire brigade extinguished the fire and affected buildings were evacuated. Various scientific research and experiments are taking place at those locations. What consequences the incident will have for that is currently unclear. Experts are doing everything possible to minimise the damage.
