As part of the SUCCESSFUL project funded by the European Union (see https://lnkd.in/eyPJEk-s), Omid Noroozi from Education and Learning Sciences group successfully organized and completed a 5-day workshop on Constructive Alignment (learning objectives, activities, and assessment) from November 18-22, 2024. The workshop, held in collaboration with Sabaragamuwa University and Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka, provided an immersive, hands-on learning experience designed to enhance teaching and learning practices. Participants engaged in dynamic discussions and activities focused on aligning learning objectives with assessments and learning activities, promoting a more effective, student-centered approach to education. We also emphasized participatory and innovative teaching methods, alongside modern assessment strategies, to actively engage students and foster deeper learning. These approaches aim to create an inclusive, student-centered environment that encourages collaboration, critical thinking, and the practical application of knowledge.

This experience is particularly rewarding as it allows Omid Noroozi to see the direct impact of his expertise beyond the realm of research. Omid Noroozi looks forward to the upcoming workshops in 2025 and am excited to witness the continued development of faculty members in this area.

The video provides a brief glimpse of this workshop, showcasing key moments and activities from the 5-day session on Constructive Alignment. It highlights the engaging discussions, hands-on learning experiences, and the collaborative efforts of participants from Sabaragamuwa University and Uva Wellassa University of Sri Lanka.
