Researcher

As a researcher in quantitative genetics, I have gained experience with QTL-mapping, genome-wide association studies, imputation of genotypes, and genomic selection for a range of different traits, using different genotyping densities from SNP-chip to whole-genome sequence data. My current challenges are to make optimal use of whole genome sequence data in animal breeding, with a focus on investigating structural variation and chromosomal aberrations.

In breeding and genetics we are nowhere without phenotypes, hence I am involved in precision phenotyping projects as well, i.e., endocrine fertility traits and objective locomotion scoring using sensors.

I work as a researcher, projectleader, and supervise (PhD) students
