dr. G (Gerry) Jager
Associate ProfessorGerry Jager is a neuropsychologist and Associate professor in Sensory Science and Eating Behaviour at Wageningen University, the Netherlands.
Her research focuses on the psychobiology of food preferences,food choice and eating behaviour, in particular on the role of cognitive and affective factors that shape food preferences and eating behaviour. She has a special interest in the development of taste- and food preferences and healthy eating patterns in children. She published more than 70 original scientific peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, is a member of (inter)national advisory and scientific committees, and is chair of the associate professors sounding board of the Dutch Network of Female Professors (LNVH). She obtained research grants from governmental and non-governmental bodies (~ 2m€) and supervised more than 10 PhD students.
Gerry studied Neuropsychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at Utrecht University, where she also obtained her PhD. She joined Wageningen University in 2010 at the Division of Human Nutrition and Health, chair group Sensory Science and Eating Behaviour.
